CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M Cross Country continues their schedule on Friday morning as they make the short drive down Interstate 27 to compete in the Texas Tech Open at the LCU Cross Country Course in Lubbock.
 
The men's 8K race begins at 8:15 a.m. followed by the women's 6K at 8:50 a.m. There will be no live results for this event. Results will be posted after on PTTiming.com
 
The No. 5 Buffs and No. 2 Lady Buffs are coming off a strong showing at the Aggie Duels last week in Lawton. 
 
The Lady Buffs won the event with first five runners to cross the finish line wearing Maroon & White led by LSC Runner of the Week Sarah Koomson who claimed the individual crown with a time of 17:50.93 on the 5K course. The Buffs finished fourth overall with 91 total points as Adrian Legarreta paced the squad with a time of 24:54.93 on the 8K course to finish fifth overall.
 
WT takes a break from competition following Friday's race in Lubbock as they prepare for the Louisville Classic on October 4^th.
