CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M claimed the program's fifth Lone Star Conference Women's Cross Country Championship on Saturday morning at AP Ranch in Fort Worth, Texas as
Sarah Koomson won the individual crown for the second straight season.

The first four runners to cross the finish line were wearing Maroon & White as Koomson ran a time of 21:04.53 to become the second athlete in program history to win multiple LSC Titles, joining Florance Uwajeneza (2021, 2022).

Naomi Addo crossed the line just behind Koomson with a time of 21:04.80 followed by
Abigail Abugire (21:29.89) and
Julie Lafare (21:30.88).
Yvonne Legarreta finished 27
th with a mark of 22:58.33 followed by
Lexi Maul in 32
nd (23:10.68) and
Isabella Celis in 56
th (24:29.13).

The Lady Buffs registered 37 total points to win the LSC Title for the third consecutive season. Midwestern State finished second with 77 points) followed by UT Tyler (80), DBU (109) and Oklahoma Christian (185) to round out the top five.
