INDIANAPOLIS – West Texas A&M men's basketball ranked seventh in the South Central regional rankings as announced by the NCAA national office on Wednesday. The Buffs ranked 10
th in last week's rankings.

Colorado School of Mines remains in the top spot followed by Dallas Baptist, Lubbock Christian, Midwestern State, and St. Mary's. St. Edward's entered the rankings at No. 6 with West Texas A&M, Eastern New Mexico, Angelo State, and Regis to close out the rankings.
The top eight teams in the South Central Region will take part in the Regional Tournament taking place on March 15-18 at the top overall seed, the winners of the two conference tournaments (LSC, RMAC) will receive an automatic bid into the postseason with the last six spots being filled by at-large selections.

The official announcement of the 64-team NCAA Division II Championship field will be made following the Lone Star Conference Tournament held at the Comerica Center Frisco, Texas. The 2025 NCAA Division II Elite Eight, Final Four, and National Championship game will take place in Evansville, Indiana on March 25-29.
