CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M Track & Field opened their outdoor schedule in style this weekend in Canyon as three new school records were set during the West Texas Relays at the WT Track & Field Complex.

The Buffs and Lady Buffs hit the road next weekend as they will send their squad to three different meets: the 97
th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays (Austin, Texas), Bobcat Invitational (San Marcos, Texas) and the Raleigh Relays (Raleigh, North Carolina).

BUFFS
Isaac Botsio impressed on the track for the Buffs as the Ghana product claimed a victory in the 100m (10.20) along with a third-place finish in the 200m (20.80).
James Dadzie ran a time of 21.11 to finish sixth in the 100m with
Jamill Phillips finishing fifth in the 200m with a time of 49.16.

Shane Ketchum was one of three Buffs inside of the Top-10 in the men's 1,500m run as the junior ran a time of 4:06.87 to finish fifth.
Troy Whyte picked up a victory in the 400m hurdles with a time of 52.95 while also finishing second in the 110m hurdles (13.97). The 4x100m relay squad of
Jace Lynch, Dadzie,
Jerry Jakpa and Botsio ran a time of 40.16 to win the event.

Allen Henderson claimed a victory in the men's high jump with a mark of 2.00m while
Lance Ottinger finished tied for first in the pole vault (4.45m).
Joseph Oreva set a new school record in the long jump on Saturday afternoon as the Nigeria native registered a mark of 7.86m.

Coming off an All-American performance at the NCAA Indoor National Meet,
Anas Fadil claimed a victory in the triple jump (15.51m).
Luke Holcombe won the men's shot put with a throw of 16.98m to go along with a second-place finish in the discus (46.57m) and a fourth-place finish in the hammer throw (53.11m).

The men's hammer throw saw four Buffs finish inside of the Top-10 as grad transfer
Khalil Bedoui set a new school record in the event during his first meet in Maroon & White with a throw of 63.74m to break the mark by almost five meters.

LADY BUFFS
Deborah Acheampong set the second school record of the day in the women's 200m with a time of 23.24 while she also claimed a victory in the 100m (11.38) for the fifth fastest time in outdoor program history.

The Lady Buffs placed 3
rd, 4
th, 5
th and 6
th during the women's 100m hurdles led by
Temitope Adenuga in third with a time of 14.69, the Nigeria product also claimed a victory in the 400m hurdles (1:00.80) followed by
Asana Hamidu in 2
nd (1:01.00) and
Taylor Gonzalez in 3
rd (1:04.89).

Mara Andritsch won the women's high jump with a mark of 1.63m followed by
Erin Martin in 5
th (1.48m).
Bella Kenney claimed a second-place finish in the pole vault (3.20m) while
Kailee Benton claimed a victory in the long jump with a mark of 5.76m followed by
Nicole Czerwinski in 4
th (5.33m) and
Haisley Huffman in 5
th (5.24m).

The women's triple jump saw
Audrey Uzoukwu win the event with a mark of 11.85m followed by Czerwinski in 3
rd (11.22m) and Huffman in 6
th (10.53m).
Meadow Gallentine impressed just a week after winning the Indoor Weight Throw National Championship as the Anson placed first in the shot put (12.94m) to go along with a second-place finish in the hammer throw (50.98m).

Alex Tice picked up a victory in the women's discus on Friday afternoon with a mark of 42.73m while
Hope Gray won the hammer throw (51.76m), Gray would finish 4
th in the discus (38.50m) while
Jada Sewell registered a mark of 48.58m in the hammer throw to finish third.
