INDIANAPOLIS – West Texas A&M men's basketball ranked 10
th in the South Central regional rankings as announced by the NCAA national office on Wednesday. The Buffs were one of the 10 teams listed under consideration last week.

Colorado School of Mines tops the rankings followed by Dallas Baptist, Lubbock Christian, Midwestern State, St. Mary's MSU Denver Eastern New Mexico, Regis, Angelo State, and West Texas A&M. This is the first ranking of teams with an additional ranking to be released next week ahead of conference tournaments.
The top eight teams in the South Central Region will take part in the Regional Tournament taking place on March 15-18 at the top overall seed, the winners of the two conference tournaments (LSC, RMAC) will receive an automatic bid into the postseason with the last six spots being filled by at-large selections.

The official announcement of the 64-team NCAA Division II Championship field will be made following the Lone Star Conference Tournament held at the Comerica Center Frisco, Texas. The 2025 NCAA Division II Elite Eight, Final Four, and National Championship game will take place in Evansville, Indiana on March 25-29.
