Buffs Sit Ninth After the Opening Day of the Rattler Invitational

CANYON, Texas – The Buffaloes of West Texas A&M sit ninth on the team leaderboard following the opening day of the 11thannual Rattler Invitational at The Dominion Country Club in San Antionio, Texas.
 
Monday's opening round was delayed due to a frost delay in the Alamo City as teams were unable to finish their second round due to darkness. The Buffs left the course with 1 to 2 holes remaining in Round Two.
 
Tuesday morning will see teams conclude their second round at 8:00 a.m. then players will roll right into their final round, tomorrow's start time could be delayed due to frost.
 
Jose Rozas leads the way for the Buffs as the sophomore from Spain shot a 77 (+5) in the opening round before sitting at 66 (-3) thru 17 holes of Round 2 as he is tied for 13th on the team leaderboard. Bryce Womack of Midland College holds a two-stroke lead (-5) over St. Mary's Kongpop Kaikaew (-3).
 
The host Rattlers sit atop of the team leaderboard with an opening round score of 290 as they are Even headed into the end of the second round on Tuesday morning. Midland College sits second (+6) followed by DBU (+7), Texas A&M International (+13) and UT Tyler (+14) to round out the top-five.
