CANYON, Texas – The West Texas A&M track & field throws group put together an impressive showing on Saturday afternoon at the Colorado Running Company UCCS Invite inside of the Mountain Lion Fieldhouse in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
 
Meadow Gallentine claimed a victory in the women's weight throw with a mark of 19.53m (64' 0¾") for the second-best throw in WT indoor track history, also marking the top mark so far this season in Division II. 
Hope Gray would finish third in the event with a mark of 17.16m (56' 3½") followed by 
Abigail Provost in 10
th (14.15m).
 
Alex Tice registered a mark of 42' 5¾" (12.95m) to claim a third place finish in the shot put followed by Gallentine in fourth (12.53m) and Gray in fifth (12.41m).
 
Luke Holcombe picked up a win in the men's shot put with a throw of 17.46m (57' 3¼") for the eighth best mark in program history, 
Ethan Hollinshead finished seventh (14.68m) followed by 
Brocc Brodecky (14.19m) in eighth.
 
Holcombe also claimed a seventh-place finish in the men's weight throw with a 16.75m (54' 11¼") followed by Hollinshead in 11
th(14.80m) and Brodecky in 14
th (14.07m).
 
The Buffs and Lady Buffs return to action on Friday and Saturday as they take part in the Stan Scott Invitational at the Sports Performance Center in Lubbock.
