Men’s Golf Adds Stetson Provence for the 2024-25 Campaign

CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M men's golf head coach Axel Ochoa has announced the addition of Amarillo product Stetson Provence for the 2024-25 campaign.

Provence returns to the Panhandle following two seasons at Southwestern Christian University in Bethany, Oklahoma. As a junior in 2023-24, Provence registered a scoring average of 74.7 with a pair of top-ten finishes at the U.C. Ferguson Classic and the NAIA Memphis Shootout. The Amarillo product began his collegiate career at Western Texas College in Snyder.

The Randall High School alum led the Raiders to the Texas Class 5A State Tournament during his senior season under head coach Ben Gilliland. Stetson is the son of Regan and Lori Provence and his brother Wyatt claimed the 2024 NCAA Division II National Championship for the Buffs in May. He is expected to major in Business Administration at West Texas A&M.

The Buffs open the 2024 fall season on September 9-10 as they travel to Warrensburg, Missouri to take part in The Mule hosted by Central Missouri.
