NEW ORLEANS, LA- The West Texas A&M Lady Buffs Track and Field team finish third with 19 points in the Jerry Baltes Division II Women's Program of the Year rankings as announced by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The Jerry Baltes Division II Women's Program of the Year awards are based on the national finishes of the Women's Cross Country team and the Women's Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field performances. The national rankings are added up to equal the lowest point total to determine the standings. Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Coach Stewarts' Women's team finished with 19 points where Cross Country finished in 8
th, Indoor in 5
th and outdoor in 6
th place. This is the third year in a row where the Lady Buffs have finished third in the nation.
