WT Track and Field Finish at Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas – The West Texas A&M Track and Field team have completed competition at the 96th annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays hosted by the University of Texas at Austin. Isaac Botsio was the sole contender on Saturday as he qualified for the men's 100-meter finals.

Sophomore Isaac Botsio was the youngest underclassman to compete in the nine competitor finals of the 100-meter dash. He placed fifth as the sole NCAA Division II athlete with a time of 10.28 seconds. Shaun Masqanganyi of Houston took first in 10.09 seconds. Botsio beat out competitors from Clemson and Brigham Young University. This is the second year Botsio has competed at the Texas Relays and his first qualifying for the 100-meter finals. Last year, Botsio was the final leg of the Buffs 4x100 relay that finished fifth in the finals going 39.15 seconds as again the only NCAA DII competitors in the race.
