Wyatt Provence birdied his final hole of the day to force a playoff for the individual crown at the Midwestern State Invitational at Wichita Falls Country Club (Par 71 – 6,882 Yards) as the Buffs finished seventh as a team.
The freshman from Amarillo registered three birdies during the third round including a feather on his 18
th hole of the day, the 430-yard par four third hole to shoot in the red and clinch a spot in the playoff. Provence fell on the third playoff hole to Adam Bresnu of Odessa College.
Dallas Baptist fired an impressive 282 (-2) during Tuesday's final round to win the team title with a +25 (877) for a one-stroke victory over Odessa College (+26, 878). The Buffs improved their team score by eight-strokes on Tuesday with a 286 (+2) for the second best final round score in the field as they finished seventh overall (+20, 892).
The Buffs hit the course again on April 8-9 as they travel to Mayetta, Kansas to take part in the Firekeeper Open hosted by Washburn at the Firekeeper Golf Course & Resort.
