CANYON, Texas – On Tuesday, West Texas A&M senior
Larry Wise earned a pair of All-American awards. Wise was one of 16 honored as a National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-American and one of five on the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-America Second Team.

The Waxahachie, Texas native becomes the first Buff since Qua Grant and Joel Murray in the 2019-20 season to be honored as a NABC All-American. Wise earns D2CCA All-America honors for the first time and follows former Buff
Julius Brown who earned the accolade last season.

Wise, the 2024 Lone Star Conference and D2CCA South Central Region Player of the Year, averages 20.0 points per game as the Buffs' leading scorer. The senior guard also averages 5.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game to spark a WT offense that averages 84.8 points per contest. Wise has scored in double figures in all but two games so far including 15 games of 20+ points.Â

WT continues its season tonight with an Elite Eight matchup against North Georgia. Tip-off between the Buffs and Nighthawks is slated for 8:30 p.m. inside The Ford Center in Evansville, Ind.
