Wyatt Provence shot rounds of 72 and 69 on Monday to sit tied for second at the Midwestern State Invitational at Wichita Falls Country Club (Par 71 – 6,882 Yards) in Wichita Falls, Texas.
The freshman from Amarillo registered five birdies on Monday with three of those coming in the second round on his way to a two-under 69. The Buffs finished the first two rounds with 17 feathers as they shot a 606 (+38) to sit eighth on the team leaderboard.
Odessa College shot rounds of 289 and 292 for a 581 (+13) on Monday to hold a four-stroke lead over Colorado Mesa (+17, 585) on the team leaderboard. Adam Bresnu of Odessa College fired rounds of 69 and 71 for a 140 (-2) to sit atop of the individual leaderboard for a one-stroke lead over Provence and UT Permian Basin's Sangha Park (-1, 141).
Tuesday's final round begins with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. as the Buffs will be paired with UAFS, St. Mary's and Dallas Baptist.
