KANSAS CITY, Mo. – On Monday, West Texas A&M senior Larry Wise was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-South Central Region team. Wise was one of six players named to the first team while Tom Brown was named the region's Coach of the Year.
 
Wise, the 2024 Lone Star Conference and D2CCA South Central Region Player of the Year, averages 20.0 points per game as the Buffs' leading scorer. The senior guard also averages 5.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game to spark a WT offense that averages 84.8 points per contest. Wise has scored in double figures in all but two games so far including 15 games of 20+ points.
 
WT continues its season tomorrow with an Elite Eight matchup against North Georgia. Tip-off between the Buffs and Nighthawks is slated for 8:30 p.m. inside The Ford Center in Evansville, Ind.
