Pepe De La Concepción Quílez shot rounds of 72, 74 and 75 to finish tied for seventh overall at the Oak Tree Invitational (Par 70 – 7,116 Yards) as the Buffs finished tied for fourth as a team in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Luis Palomo led the way for the Buffs during Tuesday's final round as the sophomore from Barcelona, Spain shot a 72 (+2) during the third round highlighted by three birdies including two on the back-nine to finish tied for 14
th overall. WT finished the day with nine feathers.
Central Oklahoma fired rounds of 300, 280 and 303 for a team total of 883 (+43) to pick up an 11-stroke victory over UT Tyler (+54, 894). UTT's Seth Campbell claimed a four-stroke victory (E, 210) over Oklahoma City's Lorenzo Santinello and UCO's Jordan Wilson (214, +4).
The Buffs return to the course on March 25-26 as they travel to Wichita Falls, Texas to take part in the Midwestern State Invitational at Wichita Falls Country Club.
