CANYON. Texas – West Texas A&M closed out the calendar year with another successful day at the Colorado Running Company Pre-Holiday Invite & Multi being held at the Mountain Lion Fieldhouse on the campus of UCCS.
WT returns to the track on January 17-18 as they take part in the Corky Classic hosted by Texas Tech at the Sports Performance Center in Lubbock.
 
LADY BUFFS
Temitope Adenuga impressed during her first meet of the season as the Nigeria product won the 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.68 followed in seventh place by 
Taylor Gonzalez (9.21). 
Audrey Uzoukwu finished third in the triple jump as the Garland native registered a mark of 11.66m (38' 3").
 
Meadow Gallentine, coming off a victory in the weight throw on Friday, placed fourth in the women's shot put with a throw of 13.37m (43' 10¼") followed by 
Alex Tice in sixth (12.84m), 
Hope Gray in eighth (12.09m) and 
Abigail Provost in 12
th (10.60m).
 
BUFFS
Luke Holcombe finished off a successful weekend for the Buffs as the senior from Floydada won the men's shot put with a throw of 17.41m (57' 1¼") followed by freshman 
Brocc Brodecky with a mark of 44' 3¾" (13.51m) to finish 10
th. Holcombe's mark is the fourth best in DII indoor action so far this season.
 
Romet Vahter impressed in the heptathlon as the junior finished with 5,508 points for the second highest point total in Division II this season, 
David Richards registered a total of 4,966 points to finish ninth.
