Axel Ochoa has announced the addition of Jack Langford, Kolby Stork and David Vega Gerstel for the 2025-26 campaign.
Jack Lankford
Amarillo, Texas (Randall HS)
The local standout joins the Buffs from nearby Randall High School under coach Ben Gilliand where he was a three-time District Champion for the Raiders. Lankford qualified for a pair of Texas Class 4A State Championships with the Raiders winning the 4A State Title in 2023. Jack is the son of Scott and Janet Lankford and he has four siblings: Clay, Luke, Kelsey and Cary. He is expected to major in Business at WT.
Kolby Stork
Barbers Hill, Texas (Barbers Hill HS)
Stork has registered a standout prep career at Barbers Hill High School under head coach Nathan Embley. He Kolby finished tied for seventh at the Greater Houston City Amateur Championships in September with rounds of 68, 75 and 69. Kolby is the son of Clint and Kristin Stork and he has two siblings, Caleb and Carlee. He is expected to major in Business Management at West Texas A&M.
David Vega Gerstel
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain (American School of Las Palmas)
The top-ranked amateur in the Canary Islande and a two-time Canary Island U-21 Champion joins the Buffs following a standout prep career at American School of Las Palmas. David is a two-time winner on the Rafa Cabrera Tour, setting a course record of 64 (-9) at the Copa Bienvenida Maspalomas. David is the son of Daniel Vega & Erika Gerstel and he has one sibling, Sofia. He plans to major in Finance at West Texas A&M.
