Connor Kurysh fired rounds of 68 and 66 on Monday to sit tied for sixth on the individual leaderboard at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational (Par 70 – 6,915 Yards) at Amarillo Country Club.
The Spruce Grove, Alberta native had 12 birdies on Monday with seven of them coming in round two for a pair of steady rounds for the Buffs. WT finished the first 36-holes with 66 feathers spread out between their two competing teams. West Texas A&M's "B" team sits tied for fourth on the team leaderboard with a -5 (555) while the WT's other squad shot a 557 (-3) to sit tied for sixth.
Oklahoma Christian was dominant on Monday as the Eagles fired rounds of 273 and 266 for a 539 (-21) to hold a 12-stroke lead over Colorado School of Mines headed into the final round on Tuesday. Kongpop Kaikaew leads the individual leaderboard with a 129 (-11) to hold a three-stroke lead over Leandro Mihaich from Oklahoma Christian (132, -8).
Tuesday's final round will feature traditional tee times on the 1
st and 10
th holes starting at 8:00 a.m. at Amarillo CC.
