CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M junior Santiago Caride leads the way for the Buffaloes to sit tied for 14^th at the Otter Invitational (Par 72-7,104 Yards) at Bayonet Golf Club in Seaside, California. The second round was halted due to darkness with a few holes remaining.
 
The Bariloche, Argentina product registered seven birdies during his 33 holes to shoot a +2. The Buffs shot a 311 during the opening round to sit ninth on the team leaderboard, they are +25 headed as teams will finish the round Tuesday morning and then move immediately to the final round.
 
Cal State East Bay sits atop of the team leaderboard with a +1 to hold a five-stroke lead over Chico State entering Tuesday. Aaron Lee of CSEB shot a 67 in the opening round to hold a three-stroke lead over Jack Hayden of Santa Clara.
