RICHARDSON, Texas – West Texas A&M's Gam Songprasert was awarded Lone Star Conference Women's Golfer of the Week on Thursday. The honor is the first time Songprasert in the freshly started 2023-24 season and the second time in her career at WT.
 
Songprasert led the Lady Buffs to a 34-stroke win over CSU Pueblo at The Swan Memorial hosted by Colorado Christian. In a field featuring multiple in-region opponents, Songprasert opened tournament play with a six-under-par (66), carding rounds of 66-75-73 for a two-under 214.
 
WT continues its fall schedule at the DBU Women's Classic. The three-day tournament will be played Sept. 17-19 at the Robson Ranch Golf Club in Denton, Texas.
