Nyalam Thabach has been named the Lone Star Conference Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week announced on Monday afternoon by the league's offices in Richardson, Texas.

Thabach dominated in the paint for the Lady Buffs during the final week of the regular season as the Boise, Idaho native went 20-of-34 (58.8%) from the floor including 1-of-2 (50%) from behind the arc and 9-of-10 (90%) from the charity stripe to average 25.0 points per game to go along with 22 rebounds (six offensive, 16 defensive), three assists, three blocks and two steals.

Thursday night saw Thabach score 20 points while grabbing eight boards and blocking two shots, Saturday afternoon in Lubbock was a dominating performance from the junior as she went 12-of-18 from the floor and a perfect 6-of-6 from the stripe for a career-high 30 points to go along with 14 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season as WT picked up their first ever victory at the Rip Griffin Center.

The Lady Buffs look to defend their Lone Star Conference Tournament Championship this weekend as they battle third seeded UT Tyler on Thursday afternoon at the Comerica Center with tipoff set for 12:00 p.m. in Frisco.
