CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M women's basketball head coach
Josh Prock has announced the addition of Midwestern State transfer Kerbie Cash for the 2026-27 campaign.
Â
Cash comes to Canyon following two seasons at Midwestern State. She saw time in 54 games with 53 starts during her time in Wichita Falls, scoring 807 points to go along with 413 rebounds, 91 assists, 16 blocks and 99 steals. Last season saw Cash go 142-of-363 (39.1%) from the floor including 119-of-165 (72.1%) from the free throw line to average 16.6 points per game with 204 rebounds. Kerbie is a two-time All-Lone Star Conference selection as she was tabbed the league's Freshman of the Year in 2024-25.
Â
"We are all excited to add an impact player like Kerbie Cash, over the past two years she has been one of the best players in the LSC. As we began to approach our needs for this upcoming season we knew we needed to add size and athleticism to our wing position and Kerbie meets both of those" said Prock "Kerbie brings a lot of size and versatility to our lineup. She does a good job of understanding angles and can take advantage of those on the offensive end; as well as shoots the ball from beyond the arc and put the ball on the floor to make things happen. She has tremendous basketball IQ and does a great job of getting her teammates involved."
Â
Cash registered a standout prep career at Sunnyvale High School in Wylie, Texas where she was named the District 14-4A Most Valuable Player during her senior season under head coach Jill McDill. She averaged 20.3 points per game to lead the Raiders to an undefeated District Championship as she earned TABC All-State accolades.Â
Â
"Kerbie is a tremendous young lady off the court, she is an ideal fit in our program and is someone who Buff Nation will be very excited to watch for the next couple of years" added Prock "She does a great job in the classroom and will represent us very well on and off the court."
Â
Kerbie is the daughter of Ray and Kristin Cash and she has one sibling, Kaelyn. She is expected to major in Early Childhood Studies at West Texas A&M.
