CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M women's basketball head coach
Josh Prock has announced the addition of Taejhuan Hill to the Lady Buffs for the 2026-27 campaign.
Â
Hil comes to West Texas A&M following two seasons at Adams State University. She led the Grizzlies to the NCAA Tournament in 2025 and 2026. Taejhuan saw time in 56 games with 54 starts during her time in Alamosa, scoring 826 points with 519 rebounds, 78 assists, 19 blocks and 64 steals. Last season saw Hill go 183-of-339 (54%) from the floor including 110-of-153 (71.9%) from the free throw line to average 14.4 points per game with 265 rebounds.
Â
"The moment we saw Taejhuan come available we knew it was a priority for us to add her to our roster. She brings a lot of size, toughness and she has been one of the best post players in the South Central Region over the past two seasons" said Prock "From her time in high school and first two years in college she has been coached very well and has a great understanding of the game. TT rebounds at a very high level and can defend multiple positions on the defensive end. She does a tremendous job of running the floor and her versatility on offense will be a huge addition to our lineup."
Â
The Albuquerque, New Mexico native was a three-time First Team All-State selection at Volcano Vista High School where she helped the Hawks win back-to-back State Championships under head coach Lisa Villareal. TT is the daughter of Marcus and Roberta Hill and she is expected to major in Business at West Texas A&M.
Â
"Taejhuan is an outstanding young lady off the court with a personality that will light up a room and has a great way of making everyone feel welcome" added Prock "She is an extremely selfless young lady that is always looking for ways to serve those around her. TT does a great job in the classroom and will be a tremendous representative of Lady Buff Basketball on and off the court."
