CANYON, Texas – The Buffaloes of West Texas A&M finished out their fall schedule with a sixth-place finish at The Hrnciar at The Territory Golf Club (Par 72 – 6,887 Yards) in Duncan, Oklahoma.
On Monday, WT registered 40 birdies during the opening two rounds to go along with five eagles with four of those coming in the opening round.
Luis Palomo fired rounds of 72 and 68 for a 140 (-4) to sit tied for sixth overall followed by
Pablo Rebolleda tied for 15
th with a 143 (-1) following the opening day.
Tuesday saw the Buffs shoot a 311 (+23) as they registered 14 birdies to go along with a pair of eagles. Rebolleda, who was playing as an individual, fired a 72 (E) on Tuesday to finish tied for eighth overall with a 215 (-1).
UT Tyler shot rounds of 283, 271 and 308 for a one-stroke victory (-2, 862) over the Oklahoma Christian Eagles (-1, 863) who trailed by 15 strokes entering Tuesday's final round. Rudy Sautron of Cameron and Brecken Franklin of DBU finished tied atop of the individual leaderboard (209, -7) with Sautron winning in a playoff.
