CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M track & field wrapped up competition on Saturday at 94
th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays and Texas State Bobcat Invitational meets. In total, WT picked up 14 provisional marks over the weekend with four school records.
WT will compete in the Masked Rider open in Lubbock on April 1-2 hosted by Texas Tech at the Fuller Track & Field Complex.
Texas Relays
Zada Swoopes threw 170-6.0 (51.98m) in the discus to place eighth before she returned to finish sixth in Section A of the women's shot put with a mark of 55-4.25 (16.87m).
Harry Louradour went the distance for Buffs as the Le Vigen, France native placed second in the men's 10,000, running a provisional-mark 30:12.32.
Bobcat Invitational
Raquel Chavez ran 2:15.42 in the 800-meter run to finish 10
th at the Texas State Bobcat Invitational while
Elliot Harrison tied for seventh in the women's high jump with a clearance of 5-5.0 (1.65m).
Abdelrahim Mahgoub finished fifth the in the men's 800m running 1:52.31.
