2022 Outdoor: Ranked 1st in the shot put, 2nd in the discus, and 15th in the hammer. National champion in the shot put with a throw of 54’9.5” (16.70m) and in the discus with a personal best throw of 186’6” (56.84m) breaking the WT School Record. Finished 4th in the hammer throw with a personal best throw of 191’5” (58.35m) breaking another WT school record at the NCAA Division II National Championship. Finished 1st in the hammer throw, shot put, and the discus at the LSC Championship. Finished 1st in the shot put with a season best throw of 56’3.75” (17.16m) at the WT Spring Break Classic.
2022 Indoor: Two-time National Champion in the Shot Put. Ranked 12th in the weight throw. LSC Female Field Athlete of the Year. Earned First-Team All-American by finishing 1st in the shot put at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships with a personal best toss of 58’0.25” (17.68m) and breaking the LSC record as well as her own school record. Finished 1st in the shot put at the LSC Championships. Finished 1st in the weight throw at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic with a personal best throw of 63’4” (19.30m) breaking another LSC record and another one of her school records.
2021 Outdoor: USTFCCCA National Field Athlete of the Year. National Champion. First Team All-American. Championship High Point Scorer. Won the national title in the shot put for a second time at the NCAA DII Championship en route to breaking the meet record, 57-8.5 (17.59m). Also won the discus with a throw of 175-6 (53.49m) after finishing 6th in the hammer throw with the best mark in program history, 186-5 (56.83m). LSC Female Athlete of the Year. First Team All-Lone Star Conference. Won the shot put with the 3rd best mark in NCAA DII history, 58-1.25 (17.71m). Also finished 2nd in the discus and 3rd in the hammer. Broke her own school record in the discus at the Masked Rider Open with a toss of 184-1 (56.10m), making her the ninth-best performer in NCAA DII history. Finished 4th in the ‘A’ section of the shot put at Texas Relays. U.S. Olympic Trial Qualifier. USTFCCCA All-Region (Shot put, discus, hammer).
2021 Indoor: National Champion. First Team All-American. Won the shot put at the NCAA DII Championships by more than five feet with her toss of 57-4.25 (17.48m). That is the fifth-best mark in NCAA DII history. First Team All-Lone Star Conference. Won the shot put with a toss of 53-6.25 (16.31m) while finishing 2nd in the weight throw. Won the shot put at the Washburn Open with a toss of 52-3.25 (15.93m).
2020 Outdoor: Canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
2020 Indoor: Ranked 2nd in NCAA DII in the shot put and 36th in the weight throw. Lone Star Conference Champion in the shot put and weight throw. Won the weight throw with a personal best and program record toss of 56-11.25 (17.35m) while throwing 50-10 (15.49m) in the shot. Broke the school and conference record in the shot put at the New Mexico Team Open with a mark of 52-6 (16.00m). She was also named the LSC and USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week for her performance in Albuquerque, N.M. Also won the shot put at The Power 5 and Corky Classic. Earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors (shot put, weight throw).
2019 Outdoor: Earned All-American honors in the discus and shot put at the NCAA DII Championships in Kingsville, Texas. She finished second in the discus with a school record throw of 182-8 (55.68m) while finishing third in the shot put with a mark of 53-1.5 (16.19m). Won the discus at the WT Last Chance while finishing second in the shot put. Recorded a runner-up finish in the discus at the Lone Star Conference Championships to earn Second Conference All-Conference honors. Won the shot put at the West Texas A&M Invitational with a toss of 50-1.75 (15.28m). Finished ninth in Section of B of the shot put at Texas Relays.
2019 Indoor:Earned All-American honors for her fifth-place finish in the shot put at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships. She would finish fifth at the championships breaking the school record with a toss of 51-4.25 (15.65m). She won the shot put at the Lone Star Conference Championships with a then conference and school record mark of 50-8 (15.44m). She also finished ninth in the weight throw. She won the shot put at The Power 5 with a throw of 46-6.25 (14.18m). Had a personal best performance in the weight throw with a toss of 51-2.25 (15.60m) at the Pittsburg State Invitational.
2018 Outdoor: Won the shot put national title with a school record throw of 16.52-meters (54-2.5) at the NCAA Championships in Charlotte, N.C. Also earned All-American honors in the discus throw finishing eighth with a mark of 48.59m (159-5). Won the shot put title at the Lone Star Conference Championships with a throw of 16.08m (52-9.25) while finishing third in the discus. Had a seasonal best throw of 53.36m (175-1) at the West Texas A&M Invitational. Finished 14th in the discus throw at the Texas Relays.
2018 Indoor: Finished third in the shot put at the Lone Star Conference Championships with a mark of 14.05m (46-1.25). She spent most of the indoor season as part of the Lady Buffs women’s basketball team that finished 29-5 making an appearance in the South Central Regional Final.
Whitewright High School: Had a historic senior year winning the discus at the state championships. Also starred on the basketball court earning all-region and all-district honors.
Personal: Born on March 24, 1999. Daughter of Elizabeth and Tyrone Swoopes Sr. Has two siblings. Brother, Tyrone Swoopes Jr., played quarterback at the University of Texas. Majoring in sports and exercise science with a minor in Spanish.
