CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M finished fifth as a team with a score of 899 (+35) at the Lion Invitational hosted by Texas A&M-Commerce at Trophy Club Country Club Whitworth Course (Par 72 – 6,992 yards).
 
Pablo Rebolleda led the way for the Buffs with a 222 (+6) highlighted by an opening round even-par 72 to finish tied for 11^thfollowed by Erik Strömfelt tied for 16^th (224, +8) as the junior from Stockholm shot a two-over 74 during Tuesday's final round with three birdies.
 
Jake Doggett of Midwestern State picked up the individual crown with a 208 (-8) for a six-stroke victory over Francois Jacobs of Arkansas Tech (-2, 214). ATU claimed the team championship by 17 strokes (+7, 871) over Midwestern State (888, +24). The Buffs shot a 297 on Tuesday during the final round with 16 feathers highlighted by five from Daniel Unger who shot an even-par 72.
 
WT returns to the course on April 4-5 for their final tune-up before the LSC Championships as they take part in the DBU Men's Classic at Robson Ranch Country Club in Denton, Texas.
