Butare Rugenerwa broke his own 800-meter program record on Saturday afternoon on the final day of the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.

Rugenerwa has now run under 1:49 indoors and outdoors as the Amarillo won his heat and finished second overall with the fastest time in program history, 1:48.33. He is now the only Buff to have run under 1:50 outdoors as the junior has done it twice.Â

Arnaud Taki finished second in his heat and eighth overall in the event with the fifth-fastest time in program history, 1:50.44. He is now one of five Buffs to run under 1:51 in the half mile.

Peniel Richard picked up a provisional qualifier in the triple jump as the finished ninth with the seventh-best mark in program history, 51-0 (15.54m).Â

Mahmoud Massoud finished fourth in the discus throw with a provisional mark of 175-7 (53.52m).
Cade Halliburton finished 12tth with a toss of 151-11 (46.31m).Â

Emmanuel Too ran 1:55.02 in the 800m at the Bobcat Invitational less than 24 hours after running 3:57.93 in the 1,500-meters on Friday night.Â

Ray Dixon also competed in San Marcos as the Llano native finished eight with a toss of 50-8.75 (15.46m).Â
