Buffs Stand Third in Latest NABC Top 25 Rankings

CANYON, Texas –
 West Texas A&M men's basketball moved to third in the newest edition of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Top 25 Rankings on Tuesday morning.  WT was one of two members from the Lone Star Conference represented in the rankings.
 
Lubbock Christian remained atop the national standings for the fifth consecutive week at 12-0 overall with 13-of-16 possible first-place votes.  Northwest Missouri State (3-fpv) stayed in second at 11-1 while the Buffs (13-1) ranked third to stay in the top five for the 36th straight week.  Nova Southeastern (10-0) moved to fourth with Chico State (9-0) jumped two spots to round out the top five. 
 
The Buffs return to action this weekend as they open Lone Star Conference play in the Fort Smith, Ark., with a matchup against UAFS on Friday, Dec. 31.  Following the game in Arkansas, WT will continue on the road with a game at Oklahoma Christian on Sunday, Jan. 2.
