Buffs Finish Seventh at Hardscrabble Invitational

FORT SMITH, Ark. – West Texas A&M men's golf finishes seventh place carding a three-round score of 889 (+49) at the Hardscrabble Invitational in Fort Smith, Ark. The Buffs improved each round with a first round of 300 (+20), second round of 297 (+17) and an impressive final round at 292 (+12).
 
Texas A&M-Commerce took the title with a 12-over 852 final score, with Blake Hartford taking the individual title finishing even at 210 after three rounds (72, 71, 67). Host Arkansas-Fort Smith finished second at 855 (+15), followed by Southwestern Oklahoma State in third with 858 (+18).
 
Eemeli Jarvinen finished tied at 12th, leading the Buffs with a 216 (+6) after an outstanding 1-under final round. Collin Bumpass finished tied at 27th with a 223 (+13), followed by Brayden Cruth at 36th (+19) and Michael Hodson at 37th (+20).
 
The Buffs look ahead to the Lone Star Conference Championships in Abilene, Texas on April 22-23 at the Diamondback Golf Club.
