ABILENE, Texas – The West Texas A&M men's golf team sits sixth following two rounds of the Lone Star Conference Championships on Monday. The tournament includes six teams consisting of 30 players battling for the conference title in Abilene, Texas at the par 71, 6,977-yard Diamondback Golf Course.

The Buffs sat tied at fifth following the first 18 holes, carding a 300 (+16) followed by a second round of 296 (+12) to finish the day at sixth with a two round score of 596 (+28).

Western New Mexico and MSU-Texas sit tied at first, carding a score of 571 (+3) following 36 holes. Gonzalo Pan De Soraluce from Western New Mexico leads the tournament individually with a 137 (-5). Texas A&M Commerce sits third (+4), followed by Cameron (+15) in fourth, UT Permian Basin (+20) at fifth and WT at sixth (+28).
