ALAMEDA, Calif. – West Texas A&M posted an opening day total of 605 (+29) after two rounds at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout in Alameda, Calif.
 
The Buffs sit tied at 12^th shooting a 29-over in the first 36 holes of the par 72, 6,846 yard layout. Cal State East Bay leads the tournament with a 571 (-5), followed by Sonoma State in second (-3) and Chico State in third (-1).
 
Junior Michael Hodson leads WT with a 4-over first round, followed by an impressive 1-under in the second. Hodson sits tied at 23^rd with a two round score of 147 (+3). Diego Garcia trails close behind tied at 37^th with a score of 150 (+6), followed by Eemeli Jarvinen tied at 51^st (+8).
 
The final round will begin Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. PST.
