CANYON, Texas – The #16 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M fought back to force overtime but couldn't come away with a comeback victory on back-to-back days as they ended their season in the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Semifinals on Saturday night with a 73-70 defeat at the hands of #21 Angelo State in front of the sixth biggest postseason crowd in facility history.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lady Buffs were led offensively by
Tyesha Taylor who went 8-of-15 from the floor and 3-of-5 from the charity stripe to score 19 points while grabbing three rebounds to go along with two blocks and two steals in her final game in Maroon & White.
Deleyah Harris led all players with 13 points to go along with eight points while
Lexy Hightower chipped in 17 points in the loss.
- Taylor ends her WT career with the second highest field-goal percentage in Lady Buff history (61.8%). Hightower moved into 14
thplace on WT's career scoring list as she will enter her senior campaign with 1,278 career points.
- Marquita Daniels led the way for the Belles as the senior guard went 6-of-13 from the floor including 4-of-6 from behind the arc and 7-of-12 at the free throw line to score a game-high 23 points followed by De'Anira Moore with 18 on the night, Maria Delgado grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the way defensively.

- The Lady Buffs finished the first half going 12-of-28 (42.9%) from the floor including 2-of-8 (25%) from deep and 3-of-7 (42.9%) from the free throw line with 14 rebounds (four offensive, 10 defensive), eight assists, six turnovers, three blocks and four steals.
- Angelo State went 14-of-33 (42.4%) from the field in the first half including 5-of-8 (62.5%) from behind the arc and 3-of-7 (42.9%) from the charity stripe with 20 rebounds (eight offensive, 12 defensive), five assists, seven turnovers, no blocks and four steals.
SECOND HALF / OVERTIME
