Biography
2019-20 (Redshirt):
Hightower suffered a season-ending injury during the preseason and redshirted for the Lady Buffs during the 2019-20 campaign.
2018-19 (Junior):
Hightower cemented herself as one of the top all-around players in Division II Basketball during her junior campaign in 2018-19 as the Lone Star Conference Player of the Year went 205-of-400 (51.3%) from the floor including 83-of-179 (46.4%) from behind the arc and 42-of-56 (75%) from the free throw line to lead the Lady Buffs in scoring with 16.2 points per contest to go along with 62 assists, three blocks and 36 steals while averaging 30.5 minutes per game. She became the 23rd member of the 1,000 Career Point Club back on January 26, 2019 as she enters her senior campaign as the 14th leading scorer in program history (1,278). Hightower picked up D2CCA Honorable Mention All-American accolades while being named a Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-American for the second straight season.
2017-18 (Sophomore):
Hightower had a standout sophomore campaign in Maroon & White in 2017-18 as the talented local product started all 34 games for the Lady Buffs on the way to the Lone Star Conference Regular Season and Tournament Titles, averaging a team-leading 30.4 minutes per game. She went 180-of-382 (47.1%) from the field for the Lady Buffs including 76-of-172 (44.2%) from behind the arc and 52-of-65 (80%) from the free throw line to average a team-leading 14.4 points per game. Hightower dished out 60 assists to go along with two blocks, 44 steals and 86 rebounds (23 offensive, 63 defensive) to average 2.5 per contest. The Amarillo High product earned First Team All-Lone Star Conference accolades while being named to the LSC All-Tournament Team, the sophomore was named to the South Central Region All-Tournament Team and a Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Honorable Mention All-American.
2016-17 (Freshman):
Hightower played in 28 games with 12 starts as a true freshman for the Lady Buffs in 2016-18. She finished fourth on the team in scoring at 9.1 points per game as she went 93-of-185 (50.3%) from the floor including 38-of-89 (42.7%) from behind the arc and 31-of-29 (79.5%) from the free throw line. She tallied 37 assists, two blocks and 20 steals to go along with 58 total rebounds (12 offensive, 46 defensive) to average 2.1 per contest. Hightower missed seven games in February and March with an injury before returning in the postseason to help the Lady Buffs to the Elite Eight for the third time in four seasons.
At Amarillo High School:
Hightower registered a standout prep career at Amarillo High School for head coach Jeff Williams. She was selected in the Premiere Basketball Report Class of 2016 Best of the Best Top 80 Texas Players as the No. 39-ranked player in the State of Texas. As a senior, Hightower earned 2-6A Most Valuable Player honors and was a First Team All-District selection, she earned TGCA All-State honors and TABC All-Region accolades. Hightower earned the AHS Team MVP Award and was the Golden Spread Girls' Player of the Year in Class 5A & 6A, she also was named the Amarillo Globe-News Golden Spread Super Girls' Team Player of the Year.

Born June 5, 1997. Parents are Jud and Dayna Hightower and she has one sibling, Braxton. Majoring in Electronic Media/Broadcasting at West Texas A&M.
