Biography
2018-19 (Junior):
Gamble continued to prove herself as one of the top points guards in the country during her junior campaign for the Lady Buffs in 2018-19, starting 30 contests and averaging 25.5 minutes per contest. The talented guard went 65-of-136 (47.8%) from the field including 13-of-39 (33.3%) from behind the arc and 79-of-96 (82.3%) from the free throw line while grabbing 87 rebounds (17 offensive, 70 defensive) to average 2.9 per game. Gamble led the Lone Star Conference in total assists (164) and assists per game (5.5) as she earned Honorable Mention All-LSC accolades for her efforts on the court.Â
2017-18 (Sophomore):
Gamble made an immediate impact on the court for the Lady Buffs during her first season in Maroon & White in 2017-18 as the talented guard saw time in 34 contests with 32 starts, averaging 24.3 minutes per contest. The Omaha native went 45-of-104 (43.3%) from the field including 12-of-31 (38.7%) from behind the arc and 47-of-78 (60.3%) from the free throw line to average 4.4 points per contest. The sophomore dished out a team-high 125 assists to go along with five blocks and 39 steals while grabbing 88 rebounds (23 offensive, 65 defensive) to average 2.6 per contest. Gamble earned Most Valuable Player honors at the Lone Star Conference Championship.
At North Dakota State:
Gamble came to Canyon in the Fall of 2017 after spending two seasons at North Dakota State. She saw action in 19 games, making two starts as a freshman. She averaged three points and 2.2 rebounds per game, scored a season and career-high 12 points and went a perfect 5-for-5 from the field in the Bison's game at Kent State Dec. 5. Dished out a season and career-high seven assists in NDSU's contest at Western Illinois Feb. 25. Named to The Summit League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll. Gamble redshirted for the Bison as a sophomore in 2016-17.
At Central High School:
Gamble graduated from Central High School where she was a two-time Honorable Mention All-State selection. Helped her team to a Class A State Championship appearance in 2012 and a third-place state finish in 2013. Averaged 12 points per game and dished out five assists per game during her junior season. Earned All-Metro Team accolades and was selected as a team captain twice by her teammates.
Personal:
Born July 16, 1997. Daughter of Dexter Dawson and Terri Murphy and she has three siblings: Emily, Jayden and Carys. Majoring in Health Science at West Texas A&M.
