RICHARDSON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M had five players earn All-Lone Star Conference honors, the league announced on Thursday evening.
Hannah Kelley-Lusk was the lone Lady Buff to earn First Team honors with Khaline Jacob on the Second Team with Shanelle Arjoon and Emily Avila picking up Third Team All-LSC honors. Marlene van Mourik was named to the LSC All-Academic team for her work on the field and in the classroom.
Kelley-Lusk earns First Team All-LSC honors for the second consecutive season after scoring a team-high 10 goals, including five game-winners while adding five assists for 25 points. She leads the conference with a total of 87 shots and 42 shots on goal. In conference play, she found the back of the net nine times in 14 games including a pair of multi-goal performances.
Jacob earns Second Team All-LSC honors for the second time in her career after scoring nine goals with a team-high six assists for 24 points. The senior was nearly unstoppable in the final five games of the regular season scoring seven times including a hat trick on Senior Day against Oklahoma Christian. She finishes her career with the eighth-most goals in program history (24) and ninth-most points (57).
Arjoon and Avila both earned all-conference honors for the first time as they were named to the third team. In the midfield, Arjoon played in 14 games including 12 starts scoring two goals with an assist. Avila had a strong sophomore campaign in defense as the Albuquerque, N.M. native lead the team in minutes played (1,639) while scoring a goal and two assists.
van Mourik earns All-Academic honors for the third consecutive season as the Hovborg, Denmark native is set to graduate in December with a Bachelor's degree in management. During her four-year career, she played in 72 matches including 55 starts where she ranks ninth in assists (14) and sixth in shots (152).
The Lady Buffs finished the season 10-8-0 following a loss to Texas Woman's in the LSC Quarterfinals on Tuesday night in Denton.
