CANYON, Texas – The #5 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M began their Lone Star Conference schedule on a high note on Thursday night as they outlasted the visiting Cameron Aggies, 74-67 in front of over 450 fans at the First United Bank Center in Canyon.

Tyesha Taylor with a 21 points as the senior has now scored atleast 10 points in every game so far this season,
Lexy Hightower grabbed a career-high seven rebounds to go along with 18 points followed by
Megan Gamble with 13.
- Â Natalie Halbleib led the way for the Aggies with 17 points to go along with 10 rebounds for a double-double followed by Ava Battese with 13 and Chelsea Heidebrecht with 11.

- The Lady Buffs went 15-of-26 (57.7%) from the floor including 5-of-12 (41.7%) from behind the arc and 9-of-11 (81.8%) from the free throw line with 15 rebounds (five offensive, 10 defensive), 11 assists, 12 turnovers, five steals and four blocks.
- Cameron finished the first half going 14-of-33 (42.4%) from the field including 7-of-14 (50%) from deep without taking a free throw to go along with 10 rebounds (three offensive, seven defensive), seven assists, 14 turnovers, three steals and one block.
SECOND HALF:
- WT finished the game going 24-of-53 (45.3%) from the floor including 6-of-17 (35.3%) from behind the arc and 20-of-33 (60.6%) from the free throw line with 34 total rebounds (12 offensive, 22 defensive), 15 assists, 19 turnovers, eight steals and six blocks.
- The Aggies went 24-of-63 (38.1%) from the field including 12-of-28 (42.9%) from deep and 7-of-14 (50%) from the charity stripe with 33 rebounds (nine offensive, 24 defensive), 11 assists, 23 turnovers, three steals and three blocks.
