Hightower’s Career Day Makes it 11 Straight over MSU Texas, 73-59

CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M's Lexy Hightower and Tyesha Taylor combined for 46 points as the fifth ranked Lady Buffs ran their win streak to 11 games over the rival Mustangs of MSU Texas on Saturday afternoon with a 73-59 Lone Star Conference victory at the First United Bank Center in Canyon, Texas.

- West Texas A&M was led offensively by Lexy Hightower who went 8-of-17 from the floor including 5-of-10 from deep and 8-of-10 for a career-high 29 points followed by Tyesha Taylor with 17 points, Taylor grabbed nine rebounds while Megan Gamble dished out four assists with her 10 points in the win.
-  Mica Schneider led the way for the Mustangs as she went 4-of-7 from the floor and 2-of-3 from behind the arc with 10 points, Erin Alexander grabbed five rebounds to go along with six points while Kityana Diaz led all players with three steals.
 
FIRST HALF:
- The Lady Buffs went 11-of-22 (50%) from the floor including 3-of-7 (42.9%) from behind the arc and 10-of-12 (83.3%) from the charity stripe with eight defensive rebounds, eight assists, eight turnovers, three steals with a pair of blocks.
- MSU Texas finished the first half going 10-of24 (41.7%) from the field including 0-of-3 from deep and 8-of-12 (66.7%) from the free throw line with 13 rebounds (four offensive, nine defensive), four assists, 11 turnovers, three steals and three blocks.

SECOND HALF:
- WT finished the game going 23-of-47 (48.9%) from the floor including 6-of-15 (40%) from deep and 21-of-26 (80.8%) from the charity stripe with 28 rebounds (eight offensive, 20 defensive), 13 assists, 13 turnovers, three steals and six blocks.
