WESTMINSTER, Colo. – The Buffaloes of West Texas A&M finish fifth as a team at the RMAC Fall Preview on Tuesday in Westminster, Colo. at the Walnut Creek Golf Preserve. WT shot a 306 (+18) in the first round, followed by an outstanding 298 (+10) in the second round giving them a total score of 604 (+28). The tournament was cut short to two rounds due to poor weather conditions.
Colorado State-Pueblo won the tournament with a 594 (+18), followed by Colorado School of Mines at second place with a 598 (+22).
Freshman
Eemeli Jarvinen was the top finisher for the Buffs for his first time this season finishing tied at fifth after shooting 2-over at 74 in the first round, and 1-over at 73 in the second.
Michael Hodson finished tied at 11th with a total score of 149 (+5).
Brayden Cruth finished with a 154 (+10), finishing tied at 26th.
Diego Garcia and
Mitchell Downing both finished tied at 33rd after carding a 156 (+12).
Next week the Buffs travel to Wichita Falls, Texas to participate in the MSU-Texas Invitational.
