Cori Haley registered her first double-double of the young season on Saturday afternoon but it wasn't enough as the Lady Buffs fell to Southwestern Oklahoma State (23-25, 25-19, 22-25, 23-25) in front of over 300 fans at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon during the BritKare Lady Buff Classic. The Lady Buffs fall to 1-2 overall while the Bulldogs improve to 1-3.

The Lady Buffs were led offensively by senior outside hitter
Cori Haley with 13 kills on 36 swings with six errors to hit .194 on the afternoon to go along with 11 digs for a double-double while junior transfer
Crystal Thomas registered 12 kills on 36 swings with five attack errors to hit .194.
Selena Batiste dished out a team high 32 assists while
Lauren Britten led the Lady Buffs with 12 digs in the match. WT registered 49 kills on 138 swings with 22 errors to hit .196 as a team with 44 assists, 50 digs and seven total blocks.

The Bulldogs were led by Carly Zak with a match high 22 kills on 52 swings with seven attack errors as she hit .288 in the match while Kelsi Schmidtberger tallied 13 kills for SWOSU, Kayla Hebert dished out 50 assists to lead all players while Kaitlyn Dillon tallied a match high 17 digs on the afternoon. SWOSU registered 61 kills on 142 swings with 23 attack errors to hit .268 as a team with 59 assists, 59 digs and eight total blocks.

UP NEXT
WT concludes the 2016 BritKare Lady Buff Classic tonight as they take on the Bearcats of McKendree with first serve set for 7:30 p.m. or 30 minutes following the conclusion of the previous match. The Bearcats are 1-2 on the weekend as they split their Friday matches with a win over Southwestern Oklahoma State before falling to Eastern New Mexico, they fell to Northern Michigan earlier in the afternoon on Saturday in four sets.
