2015 (Junior):
Bentsen became a force in the middle for the Lady Buffs as a junior in 2016 after transferring to Canyon from Northwestern Oklahoma State. The Cali native registered 228 kills on 566 swings with just 75 attack errors to hit .270 on the season to go along with three assists, 17 digs and 127 total blocks (22 solo, 105 assisted) to average 1.06 per set. Bentsen registered a career high 14 kills in her first weekend as a Lady Buff against CSU-Pueblo (Sept. 4) while tallying nine total blocks (two solo, seven assisted) the next night in the finale of the BritKare Lady Buff Classic against Lubbock Christian. She was named to the All-Lone Star Conference Honorable Mention team for her efforts on the court.

At Northwestern Oklahoma State:
Bentsen comes to Canyon following a strong two-year career at Northwestern Oklahoma State (Oklahoma) where she played in the middle for the Rangers under head coach Gene Krieger. She led the Rangers in total blocks with 120 (31 solo, 89 assisted) as a sophomore in 2014 to set a new program record while ranking third in the Great American Conference with an average of 1.09 per set. The talented middle blocker was an Honorable Mention All-GAC selection in 2014 as she finished third on the team with 249 kills on 629 attempts to hit .250 on the season with an average of 2.29 per frame.
 
At Oak Hills High School:
Bentsen registered a standout prep career at Oak Hills HS (California) where she played in the middle for the Bulldogs under the guidance of head coach Omar Lopez. As a senior in 2012, Bentsen averaged 2.3 kills per set while finishing the season with an incredible 35 solo blocks. She also excelled in the classroom, being named to the Principal’s Honor Roll in 2013. On the club level, she played for the Rancho Valley Volleyball Club where they qualified for the Junior Olympics (17's).
