At New Mexico State:
Jones comes to Canyon following three seasons at New Mexico State where she played in the middle for the Aggies under head coach Mike Jordan. Jones saw time in 10 sets during seven matches as a sophomore for the Aggies in 2015, registering three kills on eight swings for an attack percentage of .381 while tallying a pair of blocks (one solo, one assisted). She registered a career high with two kills against Chicago State (10/1/15) and UT-Pan America (10/26/14). Jones also played basketball for the Aggies as a true freshman in 2013-14, seeing time in four contests with one field goal (at Chicago State, 2/15/14), four rebounds, one block and one steal.
 
At Hamilton Union High School:
Jones graduated from Hamilton Union High School where she her team to four league championships and four section championships while earning a spot in the State Semifinals in 2010 and 2011. She earned All-League honors from 2010-12 and All-Section honors in 2011 and 2012. Jones was on the Division V All-State team in 2011 (1^st Team) and 2012 (2^nd Team) and earned league MVP in 2012. She also lettered in basketball for the Braves and led the way to three league titles and two section titles while earned All-Section honors in 2012. She also excelled in the classroom, being named a member of the California Scholarship Federation. She played club ball for the Shasta Creations Volleyball Club.
