CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs wrap up the regular season this weekend as they play their final two matches of the campaign starting on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. for Senior Night against Texas Woman's. The regular season finale will take place on Saturday night as WT takes on Texas A&M-Commerce with first serve set for 7:30 p.m. in Canyon.

The Pioneers are led by Interim Head Coach Jessica Beener who has served the last four season as TWU's top assistant coach.

Texas Woman's enters the weekend with an overall record of 9-18 with a 5-13 mark in the Lone Star Conference following a home loss to Eastern New Mexico last Friday night before rebounding for a win over Western New Mexico on Saturday in Denton.

The Pioneers are led offensively by Sara Oxford with 352 kills (3.38/set) on 952 swings with 121 attack errors to hit .243 on the season, Mary Kate Hyde has dished out a team high 630 assists on the season to average 9.69 per set while Emma Petolick leads the way defensively with 306 digs to average 3.78 per frame.

The Lady Buffs lead the all-time series with the Pioneers, 43-7 with the Lady Buffs outlasting TWU in a five set thriller back on Oct. 14 in Denton. The Pioneers are 1-21 all-time in Canyon.

Texas A&M-Commerce is led by seventh year head coach Craig Case who has guided the Lions to four straight Lone Star Conference Tournaments.

Commerce enters the weekend with an overall record of 18-11 with a 12-6 mark in LSC play to sit in a tie for third place following wins over Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico last weekend in Commerce to run their winning streak to five matches. TAMUC currently sits eighth in the NCAA South Central Regional Rankings entering the final weekend.

The Lions are led offensively by Taryn Driver with 309 kills (2.73/set) on 847 swings with 135 attack errors to hit .205 on the season, Rylie Fuentes paces the TAMUC offense with 668 assists on the season to average 5.86 per frame while Ashley Mireles leads the way defensively with 578 digs to average 5.07 per frame to lead the LSC in digs per set.

The Lady Buffs lead the all-time series against the Lions, 39-12 with Commerce taking the last three meetings between the two teams including a four set decision at the TAMUC Fieldhouse back on Oct. 13. The Lions are 3-19 all-time in Canyon.

West Texas A&M registered 11.5 total blocks and hit .217 as a team as they rolled past the visiting Falcons of UT Permian Basin (25-13, 25-13, 25-13) on Tuesday night in Lone Star Conference action at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon, Texas.

The Lady Buffs were led offensively by Haley with 11 kills on 28 swings with six attack errors to hit .179 on the night followed by
Crystal Thomas with six kills,
Selena Batiste dished out 28 assists to lead all players while
Lauren Britten and Haley tallied 10 digs each to give Haley a double-double. WT registered 31 kills on 83 swings with 13 attack errors to hit .217 as a team with 30 assists, 49 digs and 11.5 total blocks in the win.

THE LONE STAR CONFERENCE
Entering the week, LSC volleyball teams were 167-143 overall this season. The squads are currently 15-9 combined versus Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference teams, and 26-9 against the Heartland Conference, which are the other leagues in the NCAA South Central Region. Angelo State's Mallory Blauser was named the LSC Offensive Player of the Week while Angelo State's Mallory Davidson picked up the Defensive honors, Tarleton State's Jordyn Keamo was tabbed the league's Setter of the Week on Tuesday afternoon by the LSC offices located in Richardson, Texas.

HOME DOMINANCE
West Texas A&M is fortunate to have one of the best home environments in all of NCAA Volleyball, in any division. The WTAMU Fieldhouse is more affectionately known as "The Box," is home to 19 Lone Star Conference Championships, 13 Regional Titles and three NCAA Division II National Championships. The WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" boats one of the best home winning records in the NCAA on any level of competition. The Lady Buffs are 453-72 at The Box since the 1980 season for an incredible winning percentage of 86.4%.

WT head coach
Jason Skoch, a four-time Lone Star Conference Coach of the Year, is now in his eighth season at the helm of the Lady Buffs, carrying an overall career record of 368-80 (.834, 12th year including a 232-60 (.813) mark in Canyon. Skoch has led the Lady Buffs to seven appearances in the NCAA Postseason with three South Central Regional Titles and a National Runner-Up finish in 2009.

MOVING ON UP

Lauren Britten is making her way up the program's all-time digs list as the Amarillo High School alumni currently sits in fourth place in the WT record books with 2,045 career digs. She is one of only four Lady Buffs in history with atleast 2,000 career digs and the Amarillo native currently sits 105 digs behind Brittani Bell (2,150 / 2002-05) for third place all-time.
