Khadisha Debesette scored in the second half in the Lady Buffs 2-0 victory over Lubbock Christian on Wednesday night at The Pitch. Not only did the win end a three match losing streak but it was also
Chad Webb's 50
th career win. The Debesette twins scored in the 68
th and 78
th minute to improve the Lady Buffs record to 5-1-1 at home this season.
LCU got the first shot on goal in the 8
th minute when Audra Park found some space but was denied by Dippel. WT nearly grabbed an early lead when both
Rachel Herring and Khadidra put shots on goal but were denied by Leslie Castellano. Herring continued to pressure the Lady Chaps back line with another shot on goal in the 19
th and 41
st minute. WT's defense was able to limit LCU's leading goal scorer, Brooke Wendl, to shot on goal in the first 45 minutes. LCU held a slight 5-4 advantage in shots on goal in the first half.
The Lady Chaps opened the second half with four shots in the first 15 minutes but were denied by Dippel. The teams continued to trade shots before the Lady Buffs earned a corner in the 68
th minute. Khadidra Debessette got on the end of
Karyn Forbes cross to put the Lady Buffs ahead. LCU had a chance to equalize when they earned two consecutive corner kicks but were unable to convert. The Lady Buffs added a brace in the 78
th minute off another corner kick. Forbes cross found the head of
Peyton Williams who headed it to an open Khadisha Debestte for her first career goal. The second goal took all of the steam out of the Lady Chaps as they only mustered two more shots before the ref blew the final whistle.
The win improves the Lady Buffs to 7-9-1 as the Lady Chaps fall to 8-5-3. .
TURNING POINTKhadidra Debesette got on the end of
Karyn Forbes corner in the 68
th minute for eighth goal of the season.
INDIVIDUAL LEADERS-
Rachel Herring had a match-high four shots on goal, three of those coming in the first half.

Courtney Dippel made a career-high 13 saves in her second shutout of the season. That is the second most in single match in school history.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE- The Lady Buffs scored two goals in the second half for only the second time this season.
- WT didn't allow a second half goal for the first time in five matches.
- The two teams combined for 11 corner kicks in the second half with Lubbock Christian taking six.
NEWS & NOTES- The Lady Buffs lead the all-time series, 2-0-0, against Lubbock Christian.
- In his 50 career victories, he has defeated Texas Woman's eight times. That is the most of any team.
- With 13 saves, Dippel now has 73 on the season which is the 10
th most in a single season in school history.
