Emma Love was recognized this week as the Lone Star Conference Runner of the Year. The awards were announced following a vote of the league's head coaches and come from the league office in Richardson, Texas.
The Aggies' Thomas Toth earned the men's award by unanimous vote, while the Lady Buffs' Love was the undisputed female honoree with all seven votes.
Love, a native of San Antonio, Texas, placed 41st at the NCAA Division II National Championship in Louisville, Ky. on Dec. 6, one spot shy of All-America honors, completing the 5,780-meter course in a time of 22:05.3.
