CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M will take their 31 match Lone Star Conference win streak on the road Tuesday night as they make the short trip down Highway 60 to face off with the rival Zias of Eastern New Mexico with first serve set for 8 p.m. at Greyhound Arena in Portales, New Mexico. The Lady Buffs enter the week with an overall record of 18-3 with a perfect 9-0 mark in league play to sit atop of the LSC standings.
WEST TEXAS A&MThe Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M ran their win streak to 10 matches while registering the first point of the 2014 Highway 287 Challenge on Saturday afternoon as they made quick work of Midwestern State (25-17, 25-17, 26-24) at D.L. Ligon Coliseum in Wichita Falls, Texas to run their Lone Star Conferenc win streak to 31 matches dating back to the 2012 season. WT was led offensively by
Kameryn Hayes with 12 kills, 22 assists and 11 digs for her third career triple-double followed by
Jessica Johnson with 11 kills while
Lauren Bevan and
Lexi Davis had nine each,
Kyli Schulz dished out 22 assists of her own to tie the WT high while
Lauren Britten tallied 17 difs followed by
Aspen Sanders and Hayes with 11 each. West Texas A&M hit .212 as a team with 48 kills on 132 attempts with 20 attack errors to go along with 46 assists, 63 digs and seven total blocks on the afternoon.

Jason Skoch, the 2013 LSC and South Central Region Coach of the Year, is now in his sixth season at the helm of the Lady Buffs, carrying an overall career record of 322-48 (.868, 11th year) including a 186-28 (.863) mark in Canyon.
THE 2014 SCHEDULEThe Lady Buffs will play 33 scheduled matches during the regular season including 16 Lone Star Conference contests, the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" will see a total of 13 regular season contests during the season with eight of those coming in league play.
HOME SWEET HOMEThe WTAMU Fielhouse "The Box" boasts one of the most successful home-court advantages in the history of NCAA Volleyball on any level. WT is an amazing 427-61 all-time at The Box for a winning percentage of over 88%.

50 YEARS OF LADY BUFF VOLLEYBALLThe 2014 season marks the 50th year of Lady Buff Volleyball. The Javelinas of Texas A&M-Kingsville will travel to Canyon on October 18th for a matchup during the WT Volleyball 50 Year Celebration at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon. Former team members and boosters will return to Canyon for a celebration including a meet & greet, anniversary reception along with recognition during WT's match with Texas A&M-Kingsville.
EASTERN NEW MEXICOThe Zias of Eastern New Mexico enter Tuesday's match with an overall record of 8-10 (3-6 LSC) following LSC losses to Midwestern State on Friday night and Cameron on Saturday afternoon, both matches coming on the road. Eastern is led offensively by Lauren Frye with 198 kills on the season for an average of 2.96 per set while teammate Kennedi Catano has dished out 336 assists for an average of 5.01 per frame this season. ENMU is led by second year head coach Sia Poyer. The Lady Buffs lead the all-time series against the Zias, 62-11 with WT taking the last 17 meetings between the two teams dating back to 2004 including the last eight meetings at Greyhound Arena in Portales, New Mexico. WT handed the Zias a three set loss back on September 16th in Canyon as Hayes led the way for the Lady Buffs with 12 kills and 26 assists for the double-double.
