2013: Hayes had another standout year for the Lady Buffs as a junior in 2013, moving to the middle of the court to serve as the team’s main setter as WT claimed the program’s 18
th Lone Star Conference Championships along with the South Central Regional crown with an appearance in the NCAA National Semifinals. She saw time in all 137 sets while starting all 39 matches, registering 156 kills on 427 attempts to hit .258 for an average of 1.14 kills per set while dishing out a team leading 1,323 assists for an average of 9.66 per frame. The Cypress native also tallied 25 service aces for an average of 0.18 per set to go along with 327 digs and 112 total blocks (7 solo, 105 assisted) for the WT team who led all of Division II in blocks per set with 2.81. Hayes was named a member of the All-Lone Star Conference 2
nd Team for her efforts on the court along with the LSC All-Tournament Team, she also excelled in the classroom as a LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection in the spring semester.
2012: Hayes stepped into a big role on the outside for the Lady Buffs during her sophomore season in 2012, seeing time in 120 of 129 sets on the season with 362 kills which ranked third on the team to average 3.02 kills per set. Hayes made the move from setter to the outside after early season injuries to numerous teammates forced the move, the sophomore responded with the best statistical season of her career, registering 362 kills to go along with 54 total blocks (6 solo, 48 assists) to average 0.45 blocks per set as WT made the program’s 12
thappearance in the NCAA Elite Eight in Pensacola, Florida.
2011: Hayes played sparingly as a true freshman for the Lady Buffs in 2011, seeing time in 27 matches. Hayes registered 38 assists for an average of 1.31 per set to go along with 37 digs.
High School: Hayes joined the Lady Buffs after a standout four year prep career at Cy Fair HS (Texas) under head coach Donna Benotti. Hayes was a member of the Greater Houston Volleyball Coaches Preseason Top 30 team heading into her senior year, leading the Bobcats to a 34-10 overall record.
