CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs continue their Lone Star Conference road swing on Tuesday night as they make their way to Wichita Falls, Texas to take on the Midwestern State Mustangs at D.L. Ligon Coliseum with first serve set for 6:00 p.m.
 
MIDWESTERN STATE
The Mustangs enter Tuesday night with an overall record of 6-8 including a 2-2 mark in LSC action. MSU looks to snap a two-game losing streak as they suffered home losses to St. Edward's and St. Mary's last weekend in Wichita Falls. 
 
Isabella Dickens leads the MSU offensive attack as the senior middle from Iowa Park has registered 159 kills on 369 swings with 40 errors to hit .322 on the year with six assists, six aces, 43 digs and 25 blocks for 180.0 total points (3.53/set). Midwestern State ranks 61st in the nation in kills per set (13.00) while also sitting 69th in assists per set (11.92).
 
Macy Sheer paces the Mustang offense with 356 assists to average 6.98 per set, the junior from Golden, Colorado has a team-best 14 service aces. Jenna Redding leads the way in the back row with 190 digs (3.73/set) while fellow Jaiden Wright enters the week with 30 total blocks (six solo).
 
MSU HEAD COACH STEPHANIE RADECKI
Stephanie Radecki is in her fifth season at the helm of the Midwestern State volleyball program, being named the 10th head coach in program history in April of 2022.  She came to MSU following four seasons as the head coach at Southern Mississippi. 
 
Radecki possesses a proven track record which includes a 14-year run at the University of North Alabama where she led the Lions to 326 wins including a national runner-up finish in 2006 while also leading UNA to nine appearances in the NCAA Division II Tournament.
 
A LOOK AT THE SERIES
Tuesday night will be the 46th all-time meeting on the court between the Lady Buffs and Mustangs as WT holds a 44-1 advantage in the series that dates back to 1980. The Lady Buffs make their first trip to Wichita Falls since 2022 as they are 15-1 inside of D.L. Ligon Coliseum. Last year saw the Lady Buffs claim a four-set win on October 7, 2025. Taytum Stow (16), Kaycee Cavanaugh (14) and Currie Marusak (13) all finished the win with double-digit kills as WT had seven service aces and 62 kills for an attack percentage of .236.
 
LONE STAR CONFERENCE PRESEASON POLL
Defending league champion Angelo State claimed 41 of the possible 54 first place votes to sit atop of the poll with 951 points followed by WT (seven first place, 883), Lubbock Christian (three first place, 837), UT Tyler (778) and St. Mary's (one first place, 698) to round out the top five.
 
Texas Woman's sits sixth followed by Oklahoma Christian, Texas A&M-Kingsville, DBU, Midwestern State, St. Edward's, UT Permian Basin, UT Dallas, Western New Mexico, Texas A&M International, Cameron and Eastern New Mexico.
 
THE GAMBLE ERA
Terry Gamble became the sixth head coach in WT history to lead the Lady Buffs to the NCAA Tournament during their inaugural season at the helm in 2025. The Three-time National Champion and NJCAA Hall of Famer was named the 17th head coach in Lady Buff Volleyball history on February 4, 2025. 
 
Gamble has compiled a career record of 1,130-363 (.759) as he was just the third head coach in NJCAA history to reach 1,000 career wins on October 15, 2024. Gamble came to Canyon following seven seasons at Blinn College. He was inducted into the NJCAA Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2007 after winning three NJCAA volleyball championships (2000, 2004, 2006) and three NJCAA Coach of the Year awards.
