CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M had five different student-athletes recognized by the Lone Star Conference on Wednesday evening during the league's annual postseason awards banquet held in Frisco, Texas prior to the start of the LSC Championships.

Kyla Kane was named to the All-LSC First Team while
Taylor Haggan and
Randi Harding earned Second Team accolades.
Karley Motschenbacher was selected to the Third Team along with the All-Defensive Team.
Henley West picked up Honorable Mention All-LSC honors along with a spot on the All-Freshman Team.Â

Haggan was also recognized for her efforts in the classroom as the junior was named to the LSC All-Academic squad.Â

Texas Woman's Gabby Elliott was named the league's Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Academic Player of the Year while TWU head coach Beth Jillson was tabbed the Noel Johnson Coach of the Year. Meg Meekins of Lubbock Christian claimed Freshman of the Year honors while Chloe Dallas from Eastern New Mexico was tabbed the league's Newcomer of the Year. Mariah Neal of UT Tyler earned Sixth Woman of the Year honors.

The Lady Buffs open up the postseason on Friday afternoon as they take on the St. Mary's Rattlers in the quarterfinal round of the Lone Star Conference Championships with tipoff set for 2:30 p.m. at the Comerica Center in Frisco.
