CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M registered a team score of 298 (+14) on Monday morning as they sit third following the opening day of the Folds of Honor Challenge at The Meadows Golf Club (Par 71 – 6,015 Yards) in Allendale, Michigan.
Kara Holm led the way for the Lady Buffs with a 71 (E) as the sophomore from Missouri City, Texas tallied four birdies with three of them coming on the back-nine to sit tied for fourth on the individual leaderboard.
Sarah Reed is tied for 10
th with a +2 (73) as the Lady Buffs had 10 feathers during the opening round on Monday.
Findlay shot a 283 (-1) as they hold a nine-stroke lead over host Grand Valley State (+8, 292) following 18 holes.
Round two starts at 12:20 p.m. CT for the Lady Buffs as they will be paired with Findlay and Grand Valley State.
